The Supreme Court of Louisiana has appointed Lynn M. Luker as Judge Pro Tempore of the Court of Appeal, Fourth Circuit. The appointment addresses a vacancy created by the resignation of Judge James F. McKay and is effective until the vacancy is filled. Ms. Luker has been Of Counsel to Stanley, Reuter, Ross, Thornton & Alford, L.L.C. since 2015, and she will be on leave from private practice during her judicial service.

“The Supreme Court has made an outstanding appointment,” said Raley Alford, the firm’s Co-Managing Member. “Throughout her career, Lynn has been a trailblazer and a positive leader of the legal profession in Louisiana, and she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to justice. We are proud to be her colleagues and know that she will serve on the Fourth Circuit with distinction.”
