Biography

Ms. Eakins joined the firm after clerking for Chief Magistrate Judge Michael B. North of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. During her clerkship, she provided support to other Magistrate Judges within the district. 

Ms. Eakins graduated magna cum laude from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Herbert Law Center, where she also earned a Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law. During law school, she served as Senior Editor of the Journal of Energy Law and Resources, and contributed as a published author. She was a judicial intern for Justice Richard L. Gabriel of the Colorado Supreme Court. Ms. Eakins was also a civil law property tutor and participated in LSU’s study abroad program at Jean Moulin University Lyon III in Lyon, France. While completing her final year of law school, she worked as a law clerk at an intellectual property law firm.                                                  

Prior to law school, Ms. Eakins received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is admitted to practice in both Louisiana and Colorado.
